What you should bring with you:
- Completed training in the care sector

What are your cost:
- basically nothing as either we or in most cases your employer will bear the charges for the services we offer
- in some cases nurses have to accept lower salaries in the beginning as long as their German language skills are not yet at the required level or previous studies and training is still not fully regognized

The Way towards your Career in Germany: Step-by-Step Process
In brief:
In fact, it's quite simple for you:
- learn German
- send us documents by email (certificates, documents, ID, curriculum vitae ...)
- interview with us in German or Portuguese or Spanish or English or French
- sign the contract with the recruitment agency (us)
- interview with employers in Germany in German (if necessary, in English)
- sign the contract with the with the employer
- travel to Germany, move into your first apartment
- start work & continue studying German up to level B2
With your support, we will take care of all the formalities for you and help you with everything you need to live and work here. This is usually paid for by your employer or by us. Details of the process can be found below.
In detail:
0) study German
- Objective:
- Minimum objective: enable you to lead a simples conversation during a first job interview in German language.
- Maximum objective: achieve B2 level German language proficiency. Get ready for the test.
- Means: Online learning by Deutsche Welle. Scroll down to access the course in your language
- Cost: Free of charge
1. professional recognition
- Responsible body: Recognition authority of the respective federal state (e.g. State Office for Health)
- Goal: Check whether the foreign training is equivalent to the German reference profession "Pflegefachfrau/-mann"
- Possible results:
◦ ✅ Full recognition
◦ ⚠️ Partial recognition → Adaptation measure required (e.g. knowledge test or adaptation course)
2. Interviews via Video-Calls
- Interview for pre-qualification with us (Alegria)
- Interviews with potential employers with the objective to obtain conditional job offerings and agreements
- Language: German (if possible), else English
3. proof of language skills
- eventually required: German language skills at B2 level (CEFR)
- Proof: Certificates from recognized language institutes (Goethe, telc, TestDaF)
- Timeline: B2 German proficiency level can be obtained parallel to work in many cases
4. professional license
- Responsible authority: Health authority or state examination office
- Prerequisites:
◦ Recognized qualification
◦ Language certificate
◦ Medical certificate of health suitability
◦ Certificate of good conduct / Certificate of good standing
5. visa & residence permit
- For third-country nationals:
◦ If fully recognized: Visa according to § 18a AufenthG (skilled workers)
◦ For partial recognition: Visa in accordance with Section 16d Auf-enthG (qualification measure) - Responsible authority: German embassy in the country of origin + immigration authority in Germany
6. taking up employment
- Prerequisite: Job offer in Germany, work contract
- Responsible body: Federal Employment Agency (ZAV) checks working conditions and approves employment
- Continued language studies in order to achieve B2 Level (if not yet achieved before)
